Overview

The Best FIFA Football Awards is an association football award presented annually by the sport's governing body, FIFA.[1]

The first awarding ceremony was held on 9 January 2017 in Zürich, Switzerland.[2] The award is aimed at reviving the FIFA World Player of the Year. Since its revival, Cristiano Ronaldo has won it the most with two back-to-back awards for his years 2016 and 2017 respectively; but totally, Lionel Messi holds the record with 6 The Best FIFA Awards.[3]
